Welcome to Windy Ridge Llama Ranch

8 cria born 2024 birthing season!

It is with such wonder and joy that we witness the births of these elegant creatures! The careful breeding selections made last year have started the season well! We have had eight healthy crias (the name for baby llamas) - there are 4 girls and 4 boys.

Some will be ready to leave once weaned at about 6 - 7 months - let us know if you spy a llama you want to make your own!

It has been a beautiful summer in Montana! The ground is snow free (for the moment), and the pastures are once again able to be easily walked by those with only two legs, our human friends. If you are visiting the Helena area, be sure to include a visit to Windy Ridge Llama Ranch! Come feed the llamas some grain from your hands - they will love you for it, and you will be delighted by your special interaction with these elegant creatures which God has provided for our enjoyment. There have been eight babies born so far this season, and several more are coming due!
We just completed showing eight adult llamas in the Glacier Classic Championship Llama Contest, held in Kalispell, Montana! The llamas of Windy Ridge Llama Ranch really did so well! We brought home several first, second and third place awards and overall, we hope the llamas enjoyed the show as much as we did!

While we were at the show, our sixth new llama was born - the business of the ranch kept on without us!

Please call or email for any questions about our llamas, or arrange a visit filled with Llama love!

Love from Marilyn and Herve Lajoie, and our daughter Alexa
