Details
ZF Argentine Ursula is a stunning and gentle full Argentine llama. Her fleece coverage is so dense and soft - Argentine llama fleece is 100% usable from the entire body, prized by spinners, like me! This is a big girl who just turned three this year in June and she is so easy to work with. She seems to enjoy being handled, unlike some other llama, which is part of that sweet disposition that Argentines are known for. Her fleece is an intense red, and her face is black - truly a gorgeous llama! Uniformity of color is very desirable, and while in some parts of South America, alpacas are used for fiber, and llama for meat and packing, Argentina has fewer alpaca and has turned to llama for fiber production. Thus, the importance of quantity of usable fiber plus the fiber diameter to be soft enough to use in garments against the skin. The demand for natural colors by the textile industry has increased along with the worldwide trend towards consumption of eco-friendly products. In this context, the vast diversity of natural colors offered by domestic South American camelids results very attractive for the current market.

Her genetic tree is one that is sought after as the rarest of the rare Argentine line. We would like to keep at least a few llamas with only this genetic line. ZF Argentine Ursula, call name ""Ursula", has a sire whose genetics only go back to his own parents! Her sire is MGF Argentine Lucero, and his parents were Argentine Paco and Argentine Laucha - both direct imports. Ursula's dam has a similar rare genetic line - no evidence of the prolific Don Zunca or Kobra, or even Machi - this is a very rare girl! Her dam is Argentine Bella, and going back one generation, we find Argentine Valentin, the son of the famous Argentine Saltarin. No wonder Ursula has such a perfect body composition and those big boned, phenotypic Argentine features!

You can come to visit Ursula as she is calm and easy to walk around the pasture!
