Star Artina II - we fell in love with this beautiful llama when we first saw her baby pictures, and when we learned that Star Llama in Dundee, Michigan was willing to part with her, well, we had to have her here at Windy Ridge Llama Ranch! She has the sweetest face! When you come into the pasture, she wants to rub noses right away! Aside from her gentle personality, she is a very pretty girl. She is a cocoa color brown color mostly overall, but with surprising splotches of white seen throughout her fleece on her back and sides! Star Llama called her a "dilute appaloosa", but whatever we call her fleece color, she sure is pretty. She is also young and came to use in the spring of 2023, destined to be bred but not right away. She was still a teenager!

The Brants are known for having kept pure genetic lines, as they were some of the few importing llamas as the US came to first know about these elegant creatures! Star Artina II, call name "Artina", has an appaloosa herd sire named Star Firewalker, so no wonder about those splotches of white in her fleece! Her dam is the beautiful Star Art Angel, a daughter of Star Synthesis. another of my favorite Star llama.

We will breed the lovely Artina in the spring of 2024 if she looks to have attained full height and stature. She has climbed the steep and rocky terrain of her Montana home for over a year now, so she has become a big and sturdy Montana llama! Updates about her future breeding will be posted!
